Substitute swim coach

We have a good situation at masters. Two swimmer coaches (college swimmers at Notre Dame and University of Illinois Chicago, both triathletes as well and one coaches the kids' teams at the club), no added fees but lanes still reserved. We get along and encourage others to join us.

Coach Steve easily pulls a great workout out of his pocket every Tuesday and Friday morning, with splits and paces for all and modifications for slower swimmers (me). When Steve is not around, Coach Joe comes up with a good workout.

But of late both coaches have been away so I have written the last two workouts' main sets (we have little issue with warm up and kick, breathing and IM sets after the main set). My main sets (1600 for the big dogs, cut back for the rest of us) were well received and good to swim 1) 8 x 100 cruise, 50 easy and 50 hard with medium rest, and 2) 1 x 400, 2 x 200, 4 x 100, and 8 x 50, with the 50s either descending every 4 or IM by 50s. (I mixed it up and did the first 4 IM and descended the next 4.)

So if I need to write more 1600 main sets, what would you recommend?
